Google Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Google that allows users to make payments in person, in apps, and on the web. To use Google Pay, you need a compatible device with the latest version of Android or iOS and a supported card from a participating card issuer.
Setting up Google Pay on Android
- Open the Google Play Store and download the Google Pay app.
- Open the Google Pay app.
- Select your country of residence and hit Continue.
- Select the Google account you want to use and hit Continue.
- Enter your phone number and tap on Continue.
- You’ll get a text with a code.
- You’ll be asked to select some privacy-related preferences.
Setting up Google Pay on iOS
- Open the App Store and download the Google Pay app.
- Open the Google Pay app.
- Select your country of residence and hit Continue.
- Select the Google account you want to use and hit Continue.
- Enter your phone number and tap on Continue.
- You’ll get a text with a code.
- You’ll be asked to select some privacy-related preferences.
After setting up Google Pay on your device(s), you can use it to make secure payments in stores, for transit, in apps, and on websites that support Google Pay.
